Ghost Investigation - going to a known haunted place and recording data (video, photos, audio,
temperatures), notes, interviews and other evidence to prove/disprove the haunting and to assist the owners
and the spirits in moving on and leaving the place if they want that. The assistance can be either you
directly assisting the owner with the situation or putting them in contact with experienced groups or them on
what is going on and their options.
Ghost- Spirit of a dead person especially one believed to appear in bodily likeness to living persons or to
haunt former habitats.
Ghost light- Supernatural visual where a person perceives lights of an unidentifiable origin.
Malevolent spirit- A mischievous spirit.
Demon- An evil supernatural being.
Apparition- The supernatural manifestation of the soul of a deceased person or animal, typically referred to as
a ghost
Anomalous- Deviating from the normal or common order, form, or rule.
Paranormal- Beyond the range of normal experience or scientific explanation.
ORB- Circular balls of light, usually white, sometimes colored, that are transparent.
Poltergeist- A ghost that manifests itself by noises, rapping, and the creation of disorder.
Residual haunting- A playback of a past event. The apparitions are not spirits, they are “recordings” of the
event.
